Thank heaven I haven’t had this happen to me yet, and hope I don’t. Still, there is so much wisdom to in this article. So often we have issues and we try to make them about our marriage when they aren’t. Highly recommended!

what a fabulous article! i think many people could benefit from the "don't take it personally" attitude the author displayed. thanks for sharing, val.
Val,
You always find the best articles. This one gave me a lot of think about. It takes strong, very grounded women to react to her husband like that, not that men would react any better. Most spouses would've had either an all out battle or a teary what's-wrong-with-me reaction. Not taking responsibility for other's emotions is a quality to develop, but I believe leads to more problems in relationships than anything else. "The Bonds that Make Us Free" is an excellent book covering the topic and I would highly recommend it for anyone that wants to be better in this area.

sorry, let me clarify and add. We shouldn't feel responsible for other's emotions nor should we make others responsible for ours.
